Launched in the year 1983 to honour the winemaking legacy of founder Hugo Gramp, the St Hugo range is recognised for its power, elegance and finesse of varietal as well as regional characters. A classic stylish Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon from a great vintage. Superb, perfumed nose, filled with violets, confectionary, blackcurrant, spice and cedar. The palate structure is classic Coonawarra Cabernet – restrained, yet at the same time yielding mouth filling flavours of spice, blackcurrant, black pepper, dark chocolate, mocha and liquorice. Fine grained, firm, dry, but perfectly balanced tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of mocha, dark chocolate, blackcurrant and cedar. Drink now.
