The Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth blend of cabernet sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot are grown on a 17-hectare vineyard comprising predominately Reynell Selection colonial vine stock. The vineyard lies at the southern end of Coonawarra on traditional terra rossa over limestone soils. Bordelais vinification, followed by 18 to 20 months maturation in new (80-100%) and seasoned French oak, lead to a rich, voluminous wine with mocha, espresso and blackcurrant aromas, savoury new oak, and fine-grained tannins.
