Burdekin The Wild Child 700mL is a limited edition, overproof white cane spirit from Queensland, Australia, made in a traditional French Caribbean Agricole style. It is made from wild fermented cane juice at the end of the 2021 harvest and double distilled, then rested in stainless steel prior to bottling without any barrel aging.

Tasting notes:

• Aromatics are intense and complex, with scents of tropical grass, mineral, floral, and tropical fruits.

• The nose also carries notes of sugar water, bright citrus, papaya, and watery fruit with a faint chlorine-like character.

• On the palate, it offers a clean vegetal sparkle with flavours of lychee, tart soursop, cucumber, cider, and subtle spices like cinnamon and ginger.

• A faint pimento kick and delicate herbal and citrus hints lead to a clean, long finish showcasing traditional cane juice freshness and zest.

• It has a bright, fresh, and slightly wild character with a herbal, grassy profile typical of Rhum Agricole.

• Bottled at 51% ABV, it is bold yet balanced, with a crisp and lively mouthfeel.
