Notes from Producer

The Nest Egg series is an elite group of Bird in Hand wines that have been specifically chosen by the winemaking team to receive the utmost care and attention. Limited quantities available. Yields are kept extremely low to maximise flavour and tannin development.

Appearance: Deep coloured, purple, with red hues. 

Nose: Opens with layers of brambly dark fruits intertwined with charcuterie, truffle and spice notes of vanilla, anise and pepper. A lovely hint of leather and cedar coming through with some bottle age. 

Palate: Powerful yet lively in character – the mid-palate shows layers of fleshy fruit, all framed by balanced acidity and classy, elegant tannins.
